Odd Story of the Day, and it's not Michael Vick

The big news today is going to be Michael Vick entering his guilty plea today in court. But this story is just starting to come out, and while it's early, could provide for some interesting developments in the next couple of days.

A black Lamborghini was found wrecked outside of Chicago early Monday morning. When authorities ran the license and registration, they found that it is owned by Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.

It's unclear who was driving the vehicle, but there is at least one claim that Briggs was seen running from the scene of the accident. Authorities have been trying to contact Briggs, but he cannot be found.

The vehicle was not reported stolen, and it's unclear who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. But whoever the driver was could face misdemeanor charges for improper lane usage and leaving the scene of an accident.

UPDATE: According to this article from CBS Sportsline, Lance Briggs has contacted the police and has arranged a meeting time to speak with them, scheduled for later in the day, and confirm that he wasn't injured. But that is all Briggs has told the police so far, at least from what the police are saying. According to them Briggs has declined to comment on anything else about the accident.
