Croyle doing his best to not be the starter

Just when it looked like Brodie Croyle had the starting quarterback job in Kansas City under wraps, he does his best to throw it all away.

In the Chiefs preseason game against the Saints, Croyle completed just 5 of 17 passes for 45 yards, and tossed his third interception of the preseason. This through three quarters of play, since Damon Huard, the other quarterback trying for the starting job, was out with a sore calf muscle.

The reports have been that if Croyle can become a more consistent player, then the starting job will be his. Unfortunately, he has done nothing to show that he can cut out the mistakes that he keeps making.

The only thing that is obvious right now is that if one of these two quarterbacks don't step up and claim the job for themselves, it's going to be a long season in Kansas City.
