I'm embarassed...

Oh Junior. Why, why, why did having a mascot for the Steelers sound like a good idea to you? Your grandfather, your namesake, would have punched you in the mouth for giving the go-ahead for the mascot. He no doubt rolled over in his grave when he heard the name Steely McBeam spoken aloud at Saint Vincent's after morning practice yesterday. Hell, even your father, Dan, might be having second thoughts on giving you the reigns 4 years ago.

Nonetheless, I have found an option for the members of Steeler Nation. Two, options, that is. One, go to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's site and vote (the correct vote is "The Steelers don't need a mascot.") The second, go to this petition and list your vote.

There are arguably no serious Steeler fans that could or would ever be able to accept this as reality. Not even Stevie Steeler was well recieved back in the 80's. Boo Art Rooney II. Boo to you, sir. You are NOT the Chief.
