Dreary for Houston

Not only do they allow more sacks than any other team, but now their starting safety will be riding the crutches. Strong safety Glenn Earl suffered a Lisfranc sprain to his left foot in Saturday's preseason game, taking him out for entire season. After surgery, he'll need to rehab for 9-12 months. Totally uncool for the Texans who need a rebound. Matt Schaub probably won't be enough AND he doesn't play defense (nor would he be any good on defense). Perhaps the Texans will not spend $48 million on a dude who has taken 16 snaps total and buy some O-line help. Well, this has gone away from the topic, which is that poor Glenn Earl is out and now the Texans secondary will be even more damaged than they may have already been. I expect the 11 picks that they had last year to not be affected much at all, because Earl only had one and even a rook can step in and catch one by accident. But, Earl's 74 tackles could be missed. Oh well. More woes for Houston. What else is new?
