Dark Horse hits the IR

And it was written. Even though the NFC North is not within my assigned realm, I could not resist breaking the news to my esteemed (sometimes) colleague Craig.

Around Episode 2 of this fine p-cast we call the 4th and Goal Show, by friend Craig claimed that his dark horse QB in this year's draft would be the second rounder out of Michigan State, Drew Stanton. Well, due to a knee injury that would keep him out of the preseason, Drew Stanton was placed on the IR for the year. Now, this doesn't mean much in the light of his ability to play next year, but since there was only enough room on the roster for one more rookie, and since they chose CJ over the Dark Horse, Stanton doesn't even dress for the year. We'll wait and see, but for now, the Dark Horse will be wearing a suit or sweats on Sunday. And that can put a serious bruise on his psyche for years to come.

Ha.
