Jarvis Moss injury not serious, could be in practice today

Yesterday was not a good day to be a Bronco. Your first round draft pick Jarvis Moss injured his knee, and was carted off the field. It looked serious enough that his whole season would be finished before he got to even play one down. Oh what a difference a day makes.

[T]he Broncos' first- round draft pick said Monday night he thinks he will be back on the practice field today.

"It was scary, but I'm good," Moss said. "At first, I thought it was bad, but we got pretty lucky."

Moss was taken off the field grimacing, on a cart, during the morning workout.

Coach Mike Shanahan isn't so sure he will put Moss back on the field today but was relieved the injury wasn't serious.

"He should be fine," Shanahan said. "But it's too early to say when he'll practice."

This is the second potentially serious injury that has turned out to be minor for the Broncos. Linebacker Warrick Holdman was injured last week in practice, and was carted off the field. But even though he hasn't practice since then, he claims he is ready to get back to work.
