Weekend

Big sports weekend. The NBA Finals were set, the Stanley Cup Finals got interesting, and I’m sure something happened in baseball, but I don’t care. And of course for those of us in Orlando, the drama of Billy Donovan getting hired to be the Magic coach, and then getting cold feet and now looks like he will force the Magic to release him from his contract. Only the Magic lose in this situation, which sucks because that organization really needed something to get them to compete.

Game 4 of the Stanley Cup is tonight! And yes, for you HD whores it will be on NBC and broadcast in HD. Ottawa snapped their scoring drought and put 5 points up on the board during a great game Saturday night. Three times Ottawa had to battle back from being down a goal, and eventually grabbed the lead late in the second and was able to hold on to it for good. Hopefully this will be another exciting game tonight and Ottawa will be able to tie the series at two games each. Anaheim is now 5-0 at home in the finals, and 0-5 on the road. And they are also without Chris Pronger, who was suspended for tonight’s game. Something about how he elbowed an Ottawa player in the face and knocked him out. This series is great, and has everything that people would want. Lots of action, big hits, and they finally got some bad blood between the two teams last night, so there will be plenty of fighting the rest of this series.

I say boo to hockey, for the most part. The Ducks won (probably because I was personally rooting for them) and now the series is back to California for a potentially deciding game.

Go Ducks!
