4th and Goal, Episode 2

4th and Goal Episode 2: The Return of 4th and Goal! Yes, it's been a long time since our last (first) show, but technical difficulties and general idiocy can't keep us down. Our first attempt at this recording was thwarted when the save file of the show became corrupt. Then it took me almost a week to get this second taping of the show online.

Right click here and select "Save As" to download the show!

This episode we talk about the NHL and NBA playoffs, Trent Green's trade to the Dolphins and his status with the Chiefs, a debate on power running backs versus speed running backs, and our picks for best wide receivers in the league.

Per the Pittsburgh Post Gazette:

"This is just another chapter in the legend of "Fast" Willie, a man who's been clocked at 4.23 seconds in the 40-yard dash, a man who hasn't lost a foot race (to a human being) since he finally beat a neighborhood kid nicknamed "Rabbit" his freshman year of college, a man who'd sprint by his father's car so he'd get home before the old man."

Told you. Black people don't get a nickname like "fast" unless they're special. 1 point for me.

Score: 1-1

And according to NFL.com, Frank Gore ran a 4.66 in his combine.

Nice. You've been researching that one since we recorded the show, haven't you?

nope. I actually was just listening to it and decided to look it up.

Show sounded good.

There could be bias coming from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. You fools from the 'Burg are known to love your sports teams/players.

Fine.

Yahoo Sports:

"Despite having amazing speed (around 4.3 seconds in the 40-yard dash), scouts knocked Parker's size (5-foot-10, 208 pounds) and overall lack of production heading into the 2004 draft. If anything, he was viewed as a project that would likely turn into little more than a special teams player or third-down back."

Footballguys:
"Willie Parker is fast. I mean CRAZY fast. He has been clocked in the low 4.2's when running the 40 yard dash. But Parker just isn't a track guy that likes to play football. He is a tried and true football player that just happens to be insanely fast."

ESPN Fantasy:
"Parker, who has been timed at 4.23 in the 40-yard dash, presents a different style of running."
