AFC vs NFC

While it's early yet, it looks like the AFC is much stronger than the NFC right now. The two teams many consider to be the top teams in the NFC, the Saints and Bears, were crushed when they played the Colts and Chargers in Week 1.

The Saints offense looked rusty and out of sync. Their defense was never on the television, because Harrison and Wayne were so open on every single play that the cameras couldn't zoom out far enough where we could see a Saint defender.

The Bears looked exactly like they did last year, a dominant defense with a hit or miss offense. The Bears defense shut down the best running back in the game, limiting him to 25 yards on 17 carries. Despite this, LT still managed to score the 2 touchdowns in the game. But it was good enough to win, since the Bears offense couldn't move the ball, and only scored 3 points.

Still, it's early in the season. For the sake of good football this year, I hope that they either play better or are nowhere close to being the best teams in the NFC. Because if they are, anybody who is good enough to make the playoffs in the AFC should be able to beat them without breaking a sweat.
